Doctor Easy Brings Professional Ear Care Home with the WaxRx® Brand
Clinic-Quality Ear Care in the Comfort of Home
Earwax buildup is more than just a nuisance. It can cause discomfort, muffled hearing, and severe impactions can even contribute to ear infections left untreated. Beyond wax issues, many people also suffer from earaches and itchy ears, which can be equally bothersome. Traditionally, safe removal of earwax or relief from ear discomfort required a visit to a doctor’s office. But now, thanks to Doctor Easy’s WaxRx® system, along with EarAcheRx™ and Earvana™, professional-grade ear care is finally available—at home.
Same Results as the Doctor’s Office with the WaxRx® Deluxe Ear Wash System
The WaxRx® brand of home-use ear care products was developed by Doctor Easy Medical Products, building on our trusted line of professional ear washers used by doctors, clinics, and hospitals for over 30 years. Nearly 1.5 million customers have trusted the WaxRx System for safe and effective ear care at home. This experience ensures you’re getting the same reliable, safe care trusted by healthcare professionals, but designed for easy home use.
Why Ear Wax Build-Up and Discomfort Happen
Ear wax, or cerumen, plays an important role in protecting your ears by trapping dust, debris, and microorganisms. However, sometimes ear wax can accumulate excessively, leading to discomfort, muffled hearing, or a sensation of fullness in the ear.
Several factors contribute to ear wax build-up and related discomfort:
- Overproduction of ear wax: Some people naturally produce more ear wax than others, increasing the likelihood of blockage.
- Use of cotton swabs or ear plugs: These can push wax deeper into the ear canal, causing impaction.
- Narrow or curved ear canals: Certain ear canal shapes make natural wax removal more difficult.
- Frequent use of hearing aids or earbuds: These devices can block wax from naturally exiting the ear.
- Skin conditions or allergies: Issues like eczema or psoriasis can cause itching and irritation in the ear canal.
- Water exposure: Swimming or showering can lead to dryness or irritation, causing itchy ear skin or discomfort.
Understanding these common causes can help you take proactive steps with safe and effective ear care products like WaxRx, EarAcheRx, and Earvana—designed for home use to keep your ears clean and comfortable.
How WaxRx Provides Complete and Clinical Ear Care at Home
When Dr. Teddy Garcia, MD, founder of Doctor Easy, developed WaxRx, he made sure customers had everything they needed for thorough and gentle ear cleaning—from start to finish. The system includes pre-wash softening drops, effective earwax removal using patented technology, and a pH-conditioned post-wash rinse, delivering a complete, clinically designed cleaning process. This clinical development is why you can trust WaxRx to provide professional-quality results in the comfort of your own home.
Delivering Professional-Quality Results at Home
With its manually-controlled spray mechanism and disposable tips, WaxRx safely removes earwax without pushing it deeper or causing irritation. Its ergonomic design ensures a comfortable, professional-quality cleaning experience—right in your own home.
Thousands of doctors already use Doctor Easy’s professional ear cleaning products in their offices, which is why WaxRx is trusted for safe and effective at-home use. Our professional versions have been used over 50 million times in clinics and hospitals worldwide. Building on this trusted clinical experience, nearly 1.5 million customers have now used the WaxRx System safely in their own homes.
This clinical foundation is how you can confidently achieve the same reliable results as the doctor’s office—without leaving your bathroom.

Skip the Appointment. Save Time and Money.
In the United States, cerumen impaction is the most common ear-related complaint among patients visiting clinicians. ¹ It affects about 10% of children and more than 30% of older adults—making earwax buildup a widespread concern.
Did you know the national average cost* of ear wax removal ranges between $60 and $184? And it often isn’t covered by health insurance unless deemed medically necessary. ³ Even when covered, patients can still face out-of-pocket costs like copays or deductibles.
WaxRx® offers a clinically developed, professional-grade ear cleaning system you can use at home—on your own schedule. No waiting rooms, appointments, or hidden costs. Whether you’re managing recurring buildup or occasional discomfort, WaxRx saves time and money while delivering real results.

Your Doctor Doesn’t Use Risky Methods—Why Should You?
Many people reach for cotton swabs, metal scoops, or corkscrew-style gadgets when trying to deal with earwax—but these methods often do more harm than good. Cotton swabs can actually push wax deeper into the ear canal, causing impaction, muffled hearing, and irritation. Metal tools and spiral cleaners may scratch delicate ear canal skin or, worse, damage the eardrum.¹,²
It’s worth asking: if your doctor wouldn’t use these risky methods, why should you?
Clinicians have long relied on gentle water-based irrigation to safely remove earwax. The WaxRx System was developed using this very same method, based on the professional ear washers from Doctor Easy Medical Products that have been used over 50 million times in clinics and hospitals.
Now, with WaxRx, you can use this safe, proven approach from the comfort of home—no risky gadgets required.

When Should You See the Doctor for Ear Problems?
While many ear issues—like mild wax buildup or temporary irritation—can be managed safely at home with the right products, there are times when it’s important to consult a healthcare professional.
You should see a doctor if you experience:
- Persistent pain that doesn’t improve or worsens over time ⁽¹⁾.
- Fluid drainage (especially if it’s bloody, foul-smelling, or pus-like) ⁽²⁾.
- Hearing loss that comes on suddenly or lasts more than a few days ⁽³⁾.
- Fever accompanying ear symptoms⁽⁴⁾.
- Severe dizziness or balance issues ⁽¹⁾.
- History of ear surgery, perforated eardrum, or tubes ⁽¹⁾.
- Ear symptoms in a child under 12 who cannot clearly communicate discomfort ⁽⁴⁾.
Even though WaxRx products are designed for safe and effective home care, they’re not a replacement for professional medical evaluation when symptoms signal something more serious. When in doubt, it’s always best to err on the side of caution and seek medical advice.
